As much as I once loved Java, I now realize that I can develop much faster in Ruby.
I used to hate interpreters and interpreted languages. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interpreted_language)
I learned to love interpreted languages and dynamic types.
I now love Ruby.
I now believe Ruby on Rails is the right tool for the right problem (web applications)

Clients will always want things fast, cheap and with the highest possible quality.
We, as software professionals, need to teach them about the relationship between software dimensions: quality, time, cost and human resources.
Only an educated and respectful client can be a good client.
